I have type 2 diabetes & i'm 36 wks preg. I don't take my sugar, but I'm on insulin. How do I get motivated to take it?
I was taking it regularly and then my meter broke and I stopped taking it. Since then, I have just kind of stopped taking it. I have no way to make sure I'm getting enough insulin (and I don't think I am). I know this is completely irresponsible, but I have no idea what the problem is with me! How do I get motivated to start taking it again? It's always, "I'll start again tomorrow" but I never do...

i would think the simple probability of harming your child would be all the motivation an expecting mother would ever need...

I would think giving your baby the best chance at life would be motivation enough

my friend didn't take care of her diabetes when she was preg. and her daughter was born not breathing for 5 mins. and its a blessing from God that she didn't die or have any problems.

Tell someone else you're close to the issue, ask them to please get your *** in gear because you can't do it alone. It's ok to ask for help. Good Luck!
