Your insurance company should require some sort of coverage for injuries, even if it was your fault. Why don't you see an orthopedic surgeon and then try negotiating a settlement with your insurance company (or the other party's if they were at fault) in the even that you need surgery?

I treated with a chiropractor on and off for several years after my ruptured C6-7 disk, you really have to do your homework to find a good one but when you do it's well worth it in my opinion. Good luck with it and stay away from the traction if you can.

yep. nothing better. builds core strength to compensate for the muscles that are under strain due to the injury. also, you might want to have a look at this book: "8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back: Natural Posture Solutions for Pain in the Back, Neck, Shoulder, Hip, Knee, and Foot" by Esther Gokhale http://amzn.to/YyNWHT
