I don't think you blew anything. You still gained some fitness from it, or worked your muscles, or maintained your fitness. :)
Exercise regular, cross-train and vary your workouts. Do workouts that add lean muscle. When you do that your metabolism will go way up, then just focus on eating healthy. You body will revert to it's natural fit state. <br />
However, I think too many people cut protein out in favor of carbs. Don't cut the protein.

No even if you are a bit overweigth, studies seems to show that exercise is still very beneficial.
you continue to burn carbs after you've done a work out from what ive heard. but if u want to run again go for it :)
