That's not worth it, a terabyte is a HUGE amount of information that you will probably never use. My laptop has 1/4 terabyte. I've almost completely used it up, but I've been filling it up with programs, videos, and pictures for YEARS and a lot more than most people do. seriously, 1 terabyte isn't worth paying for.

Usually when people say 'memory' they mean RAM, and there is NO WAY you laptop has more than, like, 8 gigs (mine has four, and it's fancy (MacBook Air); my dad's has 6GB RAM, and it is one of the best out there (MacBook Pro)). If it has 'an extra terabyte RAM', you got scammed. If it was storage, that is a lot for a laptop (mine has 120 GB), but unless you're going to download a lot of movies or be a photographer or (visual) designer who has never heard the acronym USB, you'll never use it all. I'm not sure how to check on a non-Mac, but it's probably fairly intuitive; ask a more stereotypical nerd than myself. So yes, it's a lot, but no, it's not worth it, probably. You said you paid $100 for it? You can get a good external drive with two terabytes for about $80.
Just as a side note, in a previous comment you said you paid $1500 total for it and you hate it... Unless it is superspecialized you could have gotten a MacBook Air for about two hundred dollars less and they are pretty awesome; Windows users say they "make **** disappear at random times" but it only takes about an hour of practice, including actually reading the stuff it says when it tells you how to use it, to get used to.Like (1)

Nope, not unless you play heaps of games or wanna store heaps of movies and music on your laptop. I have 500gb on my laptop and two 2TB HDDs

You paid extra for a terabyte of Hard Drive space, which is a lot for a laptop. It is not worth it in my opinion as it is far more than most people would ever use, especially with a laptop. Hard drives are likely to fail before you would ever utilize this much space, it takes longer to defrag and properly maintain because of all the excess space. Many still insist on massive hard drives but I am comfortable with half that space, or 500 gigabytes.
