Resolved Question

I just quit smoking and I have been so tired lately!?

I just quit smoking about two weeks ago. Last time I quit I had smoked for over 4 years, then I quit for 6 months then started back now going on 5. This time I am quitting for good. My question is why am I feeling so tired lately, extremey tired and coud that have something to do with the fact that I just quit smoking? I feel very tired and hot like my body temp is up, i have a tightness in my chest. I have been taking an energy vitamin from GNC and not even that is helping. Is it possible that my body is counteracting the vitamin becuase of the physical and mental changes my body is going through? Last time I quit smoking that vitamin gave me alot of energy but this time it does nothing for me. Please help me..I need some advice. What can I take to help my body heal faster, and what can i take to help me feel better and have more energy? Do you think the reason why I have been feeling so tired is because of my withdrawls from cigs?

Nicotine is a stimulant. The same thing happens to people who give up coffee. Its ok. Your body will rebalance itself soon. Hang in there! You're almost home free. Just don't ever have that first cigarette, and you'll be fine.

At this point, all of the nicotine is probably out of your system, but drinking a lot of water to be sure probably wouldn't be a bad idea. LilAnnie is right; nicotine is a stimulant, so your body is craving it. It'll stop. Just hang in there!!

sleep as much as you can...drink lots of water....exercise as much as you can....eat whenever you want to.....get some super nutrition now.....green juices, brewers yeast, green protein powder, deep green salads, liquid mineral supplements, extra vitamin C....and have some friends you can call whenever you are going nuts and need to talk! Try to avoid all other stresses (haha!)

I don't know the answer, but I want to congratulate you. It is hard to quit, but as you know, it is worth it. I think it takes a while after you quit to really start feeling better, though. Good on you!
