I'm particular as hell about my coffee and yet it's really quite simple to make. The beans have to be extra dark and slightly oily (espresso, Italian or French roast) Please grind them and put a decent amount in a French press. Organic whipping cream, or half & half and one packet of sugar in the raw. If you're really a charmer (which you are), you've put some Madagascar vanilla beans mixed in with a bag of sugar in the raw to get a hint of vanilla flavor and you've added a nice heaping teaspoon for me. Thanks...you're such the civilized host. I brought the home made chocolate croissants and to say thank you for your trouble :}

I will break out the Expresso machine and make proper Americanos. I will get the beans when I am out later as well, I only have extract on hand, I so much prefer fresh whipped cream too.

Hmmm...a dollop of cream and a heaping teaspoon of sugar....and a couple of squirts of chocolate syrup....and some whipped cream on top....and lace a little caramel syrup over that....Oooops...I'm not at MacDonald's, am I?
