    I don't think I'd totally beat them up, though I would certainly scoff at them. I'd likely say something like, "Suuuure. I'd like to see you prove that in every case of love." What a preposterous statement. All the crap I've had to deal with because of "love", I absolutely wish I never had to in the first place. If others can deal with the downs of loving because it comes with the ups, that's great for them, but I personally wish I could live without requiring such an emotion.

    No, I am glad for the times that I have loved. Loss isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes when one thing ends, something beautiful can start up. Loss is painful, but it can also be enlightening and life-affirming.

    I would rather have the true elation that comes with real love and experience the terrible lows that come with losing it ,than not to have felt it at all
