There is a series of books by an author named Janet Evanovich. There are 17 of them and the main character is a young woman named Stephanie Plum. They are comedy/romance/adventure. They are a very easy/fast read and they will definitely make you laugh. If you read them, I hope you enjoy.

i like the author Jude Devereaux. she has a "velvet" series: velvet promise, velevet song, highland velvet, velvet angel, and another one called black lyon. they're really interesting historical novels and although they're about 5 different women the stories interweave a little bit. really well-written and intelligent.
