I need some ideas for decorating?

I share a room with my sister, and we just recently moved around our beds, and our walls are really bare. I don't want really bulky things around, and i don't want to paint it. But homemade stuff would be awesome!

Any ideas or websites that are useful?




We were actually thinking of printing out a ton of movie posters and placing them randomly around the room, but i need something more creative.............

How about making two big paper collages? One made by you. One made by your sister. You could use themes like:

- my childhood
- my heritage
- my dreams for the future
- my favorite popstar
- what is important to me
- what do I love
- my favorite animals
- who do I admire etc.

You can print pics from the net or cut them out of magazines and glue them into your collage. Let your imagination go wild. Use glitter, stickers, felt, ribbons etc. It's fun and when you're bored with it, you make another one

This is what my daughter did in her room
(I think the idea came from a book called "Creative Visualisation" by Shakti Gawain)

Pick up a large picture in nice frame from a thrift shop. then paint over the picture with your favourite colour.

Place a small picture of your self somewhere on it

Using color magazines, cut out all the pics you like.

Arrange them on the painted surface and using a glue gun, fix them to the surface.

hang on your wall.

You have created your own "treasure map" of all the things you want to attract into your life.

Ps...she spent the whole weekend absorbed in this project and had a reason for every shoe/handbag/dress/jewellery/flowers/books/Cd/DVD/
game/ hairstyle etc she included.

I hope you have as much fun as she did making this 'picture"

In my room whenever someone thinks of something inspirational to them they paint it largely with a stencil on the wall. It is actually very beautiful. We chose our school colours gold and crimson to do the printing in but there are tons of other colors too!

I have the following Idias for your age:

0- buy a used painted picture from sunday market

1-You can put some of your pictures in one big frame and hang it.

2- There are some big stickers (cheap but beuatiful) with many patterns like flowers or animals.

3-mozayeek that you make.

4-You can stick artificual flowers and butterflys on the wall.

5- I saw a room of a girl who sticked everything she have on her bedroom's wall all around the room. she used a stickey dough. I remember her taking her hair brush from the wall, brushing her hair, and returning it back on the wall.
