all I can say is try to keep your mind occupied because when you have nothing to do the sad/regretful thoughts come in an and then your stuck in the cycle also I noticed on your profile that your a college student I just graduated at a 2 college and let me tell you it didn't help at all I am still depressed from time to time so like I said keep yourself occupied such as reading, cooking, exercing watching a movie studying anything as long as your doing something it keeps that dark sad and sometimes suicial thoughts out of your head and instead your focusing on trivial things such as world history anyway hope this helps because honestly it dosnt help me much but at least don't want to jump of buildings anymore XD
