Never decide to buy something as soon as you see it. If you think you want to buy something, set it down and walk away. If you still want it in 10 minutes go get it.

Well, first of balance your checkbook.
Keep monthly income and expenses in check for the next 6 months
Make note of future expenditures such as car insurance premium in advance so you can save toward them
Avoid bank charges such as overdraft, credit cards late fees etc.
Decide how much cash you need each month for snacks, drinks, lunch etc. withdraw it and keep it in your purse so you won't go over the amount
Whenever you go shopping, glance at on sale items and buy ahead the things that you run out soon
Yes learn to spend less than you make, learn to be happy with less and buy things that are necessary.Do things that do not cost money like go to the park, eat at home, take a lunch to work, set money aside from every check.Become more valuable in life so that you will make more money but continue to spend less. Now once you get on that course learn to invest money.Read a lot about money and give money it's due respect.Ask others that know about money like me ha ha.I have been investing for over 20 years.

Burn your credit cards (all of them) and geta single debit card that only allows you to spend your money. Bargain for big ticket items. Remember how long it will take you to earn that $50 discount and dont forget the taxes. And get your payroll office to put 105 into a high interest account direct, before you see it. Also, throwing your coins into a container and banking them will give you cash for small treats and gifts.
But whatever you do, make it a habit. Time is your friend in saving.

1. Open a savings account that you vow not to touch.
2. Put away in this account at least 40% of your paycheck if possible.
3. Adjust more or less so that it can build up but you don't touch it.
4. If you put away at least $100 a month x 12 months = $1200 in one year.

Then, buy things when they are on sale. Don't be wasteful, save on electricity by turning things off. Buy food from the market and eat home prepared meals instead of eating out. Simple things like this add up. Good luck!

It's very easy. Budget. Plan all your expenditures and stick to that.

I'm bad at saving money because of the economy, if I have any left over I always have a bill to pay or a household item to buy. But I can save money until a certain date when it is needed for something important. The easiest way to save money is to put away very tiny amounts consistently for a period of time. Add $1-$5 per day to a change jar or little box and do not touch it...don't use a clear container or put it in an obvious spot...out of sight out of mind avoids temptation.
