Not to restart, but to go ahead with more wisdom. Mutual respect, non judgement, self confidence, reasonable tolerance, continuous learning...are some means to make the change in oneself first, and it will lead to the change of other people.

Probably not what you want to hear but you just have to do it. About a year and a half ago, I was where you are now - looking around at my life and wondering what I had to show for the years that I had spent putting everyone before myself and the answer to that question was a job I couldn't stand, no one I thought was a real friend and the beginnings of bitterness and hopelessness.

One day, I sat down and I asked myself, "if I was laying on my deathbed, what would I regret not doing?" Now, a year and a half later, I've done all but two things on that list. It was hard to leave my family and move to another country but life is about making hard choices and I'm glad that I did. I've learned more in the last 20 months or so than I learned in the 25 years preceding them and I feel good about where I am and who I am.

Just do it! The only person you can be sure if going to be there with you for the rest of your life is you. The only one who will have to live with your regrets is you.
