I noticed that the Jewish friends on my FB list seem very disgruntled today because of Xmas (see details please)
some of them saying they can't join in the celebration because they don't believe in Jesus, or saying things about how Santa won't come back next year, because he was shot at too many times with guns, or how they are shoved aside on this holiday. I can't believe they feel that way, and that they are so disrespectful to those of us that celebrate Christmas. They are usually classy and smart, but this year I am wondering why they are acting so ignorant and rude? Perhaps they cannot handle the religious aspect?

maybe they're just pushing back because they're sick of the X-tians shoving the holiday down their throats.

I'd just blow'em off......
They're not your Friends, number 1.......and Number 2.....I know many Jews that not only celebrate this season as a Christian holiday but it is a Jewish one too......The 12 days of Christmas....
So, they're not even being true to their own faith.....
Don't worry about it.......Jump in the car have a drink with me and my dog......I don't care what faith you are.......
;p

I have Jewish friends at work and in the past and non of them have EVER acted that way, honestly they really dont give a ****, they dont hate it or like it its whatever and they still have the courtesy to say Merry Xmas, what i notice however are that MOST Christians always have something muffled to say to them about there beliefs or are completely ignorant to them or there traditions no one ever says happy Hanukkah to them and yet they dont ******* complain...just a small observation is all...

Well, it is not going to change. Judaism represents less than 1 percent of the American population and it is not going to be much different any where else in the world unless you go to Israel. I think they were being rude because they feel left out and they are insulting you because they find it necessary to stick together. It was very rude and immature. But at least you know their true colors and can avoid them in the future.
You might want to remind them that Jesus was a Rabbi too.

I don't see much disrespect in what you describe, apart from maybe the gun joke. They don't celebrate it, and they have different ideas about it. That's no problem, is it? Or are they campaigning against it?

Tell them to stop whining and just mix it up a little, hell that's how the christans turned the x-mas into what it is today to begin with, by stealing **** from other religions.

Sounds a bit short-sighted to say the least. IMHO, it is about taking responsiblity for your choices. I've got a Jewish neighbor who celebrates X-mas and Hannukah. If they don't want to then they need to be okay with that. I don't celebrate X-mas either and I rarely mention it to anyone unless they ask. I take responsiblity for my belief system, sounds like they should try the same.

Too much Chinese food last night?
When i was a kid, on Christmas Eve I remember washing my Mom's kitchen floor, on my hands and knees (had to do it sometime) and watching Midnight Mass on TV. I did feel a bit left out, but I never reacted in anger or sarcasm. I just wished that we celebrated.
My wife is catholic and we always celebrated Christmas and it was great fun, especially when the children, and later the grandchildren were young...

well, im not jewish, but i can tell you im a christian and i dont have a tree set up, no one knows when Jesus was truly born, and Christmas is not what people think it is, its a pagan holiday that somebody twisted up then added Jesus into the mix, its all a lie, Jesus was not born on this day.

seems unusual to me, jewish people are usually quite tolerant of christian holidays. maybe the ones you know are just having a bad day
