I saw a neighbour of mine walking his dog in the park.....

. He'd just recovered from a little operation so I went over and made a big fuss of him, scratching his ears, stroking him and rubbing his belly...

He called me a weirdo and told me to f"ck off and leave him alone.....

    I assume you mean the dog had the surgery and you were rubbing and talking to the dog and not the dude because then I would see his point. Although I would not have minded.
    Anyway if his dog was your focus the dude sounds like a scared **** head and I feel sorry for the dog. Don't sweat it there are A holes everywhere and we allow them to have dogs anyway.
