It is a common problem for girls your age. Talk to a school counselor. They might be able to help or refer you to a self help group.

Do a search for support groups and education groups for the type of self harm you do. There are many people and groups that are concerned with this problem and happy to help you.

Try NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. (NAMI.org) Their focus is primarily schizophrenia, bi-polar, and depression, but the people there are wonderful and will bend over backwards to direct you to someone who can help. Good luck.

I use to be harmful to myself as a young girl. I was a cutter really bad, I put cigaretts out on my legs, etc...
I was always told these thing we did because we didnt like ourselves and that deep down we believed we needed to hurt, and that could even be emotional pain. When i use to cut it relaxed me, made me decompress immediatly, it was like heroin.
The only way to truely see why we do this is by going to therapy. Try a CBT therapy group, they are usually best suited towards this behavior.
