    Self preservation works much the same way as shock works. When the body faces an extreme trauma, endorphins are released to naturally dull the blunt force of the pain... though you will experience the pain.. it is in degrees that you only think will kill you, but you actually doesn't. Emotions can be the same, but if you want to get well, you have to allow the pain to come and heal - just take it by degrees... figure out what flipped the switch and work through it.

    There will be... I mean I seriously hope for your sake there will not be, but it is just the feeling I get, probably because of my own life experiences, that you have gone through something that is causing you to distance yourself. Cool, no pain, but also no joy, no anger, no nothing, good things don't exist in the absence of bad things, as all things are relative; so get some things!
