posture, eye contact, and a very blunt explanation of the issue(s) along with direct diction will go along way in these situations.

Best Answer

Hmm...people have a tendency to do that. I guess you can always say "excuse me? can I finish first?" If that doesn't really work then well what can I say? People don't have enough brain power to realize that it's kinda rude to interrupt.

Best Answer

You can't, you just have to be a *****.

I hate being a *****.....I need to grow some balls. Lol

Talk LOUDER & keep talking until you are done.

A 44 magnum in the face might get their attention. It worked for Dirty Harry.
I'm going to assume you are talking about a man talking over you, since women seem to have the ability for six of you to be talking in a group at the same time and have everyone understand every thing.

Unfortunately, in our society, ignoring a woman when she is trying to talk is one of our subtle forms of sexual discrimination. If you watch mixed gender groups talking, the men will frequently interrupt the women, but rarely interrupt the men. The women usually don't interrupt anyone. The best solution tends to be, "Excuse me. I wasn't done talking." That forces him to respect you and your opinion. After a couple times, he will be far less inclined to be rude.

And asserting yourself to get the respect you deserve is not being a *****.

I mean.....friends or co workers. My boyfriend listens and doesn't respond. It's like talking to a wall. It totally ****** me off and I believe it's the only reason we fight. I wouldn't know how he feels cause he doesn't talk. Ok I don't like talking relationships.

Best Answer

Ugh I wish I felt that was. I just need to get over being so sensitive to other peoples feelings.

Best Answer

If you are sensitive, that is who you are. It can be a wonderful gift. If your boyfriend is uncommunicative and refuses counseling, there isn't a lot you can do. A therapist may be able to give you specific ideas to get him to open up to you. If he refuses to talk, and you need someone who will talk, the relationship is at an impasse that will only grow wider. One thought. There are "communication" seminars/retreats for couples. They tend to be good at getting guys to open up and talk. Expensive. Might try one of those.

Oh...that is so annoying!!! I handle it by saying one of two things. I will either interrupt them as they talk over me and say "Excuse me, I had not finished my thought." Or, I will wait till they finish talking and say, "As I as saying....". Always with a smile, never with a harsh tone.

Ohhh I like that last part :) A lot!
