Jesus accepts you just the way you are. There is always more grace in the present than there is sin in the past.

Just open your heart and let him in. Jesus loves us all no matter what we've done . A Saint is a sinner that keeps picking himself back up:)

There is a difference between you accepting Jesus and you accepting the various cultural views of Him.

It sounds as if you already have. Do not let church biddies or anyone else stand between you and your connection with God. This is one of the tougher faiths.

Sometimes it means you will stand alone simply because you have not yet made a decision about something. You must work on your schedule, not theirs, and your schedule is between you and God.

Jesus looks at your heart not your habits.
That is why he is called a Savior to save us from ourselves. Our heartbreaks, fears, addictions, depressions, and all that besets us and makes our soul look for someone to truly love us for us, he will forgive you of anything, just ask him to.
He see past the shells we built around us.
Look for him, read the New Testament of the bible first. It will give you brain cramps trying to understand it but if you pray and ask Jesus to show you what he wants you to see about him.
He will move more people in your life to teach you and show you his path.
The night before I got saved, i did so many things that would land me a one way ticket to hell.
He picked me up from my hell and gave me love and helped me be the kind of woman I always dreamed of being.
If you would like to know how his spirit saved me copy this . Its in a poem form, but it is true. I hope he blesses you with love as he has me.
Everyone is welcome to come to Him. He wants all of His children to come home. Once you open your heart, then He will work within you. I would start with the sinners prayer, and then read the Bible. ...much love...((HUGS))
**The sinners prayer**“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

It sounds like you're afraid to open up because you feel unworthy. Don't worry, you don't have to be perfect. God loves you no matter what. I agree with TheLittlePrincess, you could talk to LetMeGo2, or eyeno. They can explain better than I can.

Thanks be to God for His loving wooing of you. It takes courage to reach out and talk to others about Jesus, even people you know well, and more so in this day and age with the hostility one expects to encounter. These people are speaking to you because the Holy Spirit is bidding them to. Since I found Christ many years ago, not one person has attempted to witness to me about Christ. The Holy Spirit did not bid them to do so because He knew I was already in the fold.

Your problem is you think walking in the Christian life involves trusting and relying on your own strength. Yes, if it were only up to you ,your promises to God would be in vain. But it's not only up to you. It is God's strength that makes the difference. The great apostle Paul said it was through Christ who strengthened him that he could do all things. (Phil 4:13) It is by (God's) grace (unearned favor) that you are saved and by grace that you stay saved. (Eph. 2:8) We are not saved by being able to present God a certificate of assurance that we will never do this or that sin. You will have to be willing to work with God on weeding known sins out of your life. (Phil. 2;13). But people can be forgiven under the blood of Jesus for doing really bad things after as well as before salvation. (I John 1:9, 2:1)

I'm a guy with a guy's libido and taste buds that appreciate a fine beverage as much as the next person.
But from adolescence on I have not desired to fornicate or booze. I don't cuss in public, but now that you remind me, I will try to phase out my cussing at things that drop or fall over in my house. The Spirit of God has caused me not to desire sexual disobedience. If you become a Christian, God working within you will be willing to give you the patience and strength you need to wait until marriage. Christians have some liberty to consume alcohol, but not to the point of drunkenness. I think most people who leave drunkenness behind are relieved to do so.

I hesitated for a good while before coming to Christ because I thought I've got to wait till I'm good enough. Once my dad gave me a bit of a push, and under the strong conviction of the Holy Spirit like you are, I took the leap, those worries perished. From what you describe, the psychological difficulty you have in taking the leap of faith may be greater than for some. If you're on the high floor of a burning building you face the fact that you're not going to save yourself and you undertake the uncomfortable turning it over to the firemen below to save you. Once you take that leap of faith, you will know that you are in God's family and your whole perspective will be different.

What you have to do is not come to where you say, "Jesus, I'm confident I won't let you down," because such confidence would be folly! You have to say "Lord, I surrender to you. Remake me and all of my desires in accordance with your will. I know all changes You want to make in me are for my good, so I entrust myself to you." And if you do that He will be faithful. Your life will not be agony. You will find relief. "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light." (Matthew 11:28-30). There is rest in the Lord even as we work hard in this life.
You are likely having difficulty because there is a part of you that wants something virtuous in your life but you're wondering if religion is it?

You can be a good and moral person without the church and religion. Want to be righteous? Be kind, empathetic and generous.

I really feel like accepting Jesus into your life is a great journey, and isn't something that can be explained in a short space, but I'll try to sum it up the best that I can.

First of all God has created everything that we have, including our individual beings, which means that He loves us in a way that is difficult to understand, it is unfailing, it never goes away! No matter how often we have turned against Him, which leads to the second point, everyone on earth is sinful in one way or another, and it's this sin that separates us from God. But that's not something we need fret about because He sent His son Jesus Christ to live with us, to suffer, and to die on the cross to save everyone from their sins. He took on sin as a personal sacrifice and died in our place. And because of this, we have a connection with God, it says in John 14:6 "Jesus said to them, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me'" Which is amaaaazing for us! So, when people talk about accepting Jesus as your personal savior, they're talking about accepting His great gift, accepting what He has done for us, and that He has led us to God the Father.

I know this is a lot of information all at once, but that's kinda it in a nutshell. I actually have dedicated my blog to getting the Word out there, and I would love to communicate with you about any questions you might have, if you're interested that is, and I just want to let you know that you're not alone in your struggles. No human is perfect, and we have to rely on God and His will to guide us in the right direction so that we can tackle our sins one at a time. I truly hope this helped!

He will take you anywhere you stand. I was an agnostic many years and then one day asked Him if He was real to prove it and He did. I was overwhelmed with His presence and His love and I could doubt Him no longer. On top of that He put the Holy Spirit inside me to guide and teach me and I have learned so much about God since then.

All you have to to is ask Jesus into your heart tell him you know yor a sinner. God knows we are not perfect we never will be but by the blood of christ. Everyone sins it is our nature the important things is we try and we go to the lord in prayer ask for forgivness and keep on trying.

Best Answer

Jesus lived among the sinners and he accepted them. He was not perfect either, he took form as an imperfect man, lived among prostitutes, made himself available to the human experience as a MAN. We all are not perfect and without grace and acceptance, we are lost. I accept my flaws and live to be the best I can and not worry about perfect. Cussing is the Lord's name in vain and that is it. So ******* a I am not a perfect man and I live to serve my fellow man as best as I know how and want to understand the world as I can. NONE are perfect and divinity is not our calling so relax and be you! Forgiveness is part of life and no matter how many sins you have, you have grace and forgiveness forever period.
That is just my opinion...I may be wrong but it feels right so i am going with it!

Find a home church.
Go there regularly.
The rest will just happen.

When I first started going to my church, I cussed all the time. Even after I was baptized, and got the holy ghost. But eventually, I was cussing, and doing bad things less, and less. Eventually, it just wasn't at all.

Good luck. Hope I helped!
