Only those with an agenda.
And he said he was going to get out of Iraq and focus on Afghanistan - where the focus should have been all along if the last administration had been remotely competent.

Mind if I correct a couple points to CorporateMinsitryofSJ?

President Obama was repeatedly clear during his campaign, about his plan to put more troops in Afghanistan. He only said he wanted to pull out of Iraq - which he made a clear plan w/ deadline & is doing.

As far as the deficit - let us remember that the current deficit IS from a Republican President - Obama has recently INHERITED it. ALso, he consults with good & qualified advisors on these matters - even practical people like Warren Buffet & many more to get the clearest picture of what is best for America's future & present - personally I prefer a president who listens before he makes up his mind - & it was made clear that spending NOW is needed to prevent things from getting drastically worse. Also, like any President, he can work to make changes but when you've got a bunch of five-year-olds - ahem...I mean Republicans (btw - not true of all Rep's - just these) refusing to go along with it, too. If you enjoy playing the blame game - at least spread it around equally.....

And I would find your views more credible if you A. Had accurate facts to back it up and B. weren't so hateful that I can only think you are basing your opinions on irrational emotion. If you don't like him or his policies, no problem - free country - but spreading hate or unbalanced negativity is a child's game.

And someone mentioned his
'lack of experience' - which I tend to think you only think of because of Republican propaganda - look into the history of other Presidents who came into office from being Senators with the same amount of experience - Obama is the first president - I think since Kennedy or maybe it was Clinton - that people were saying that about. And I don't thing Obama is 'trying to get everyone to like him' - there are a lot of horrible things the American government has done - start researching - things 90% of AMericans aren't aware of. I think Obama is - Being a Decent Human Being - and in doing so is also starting to change the image of our country's leaders - would you have him run out & start wars everywhere?? He's been very clear about his will & readiness to act on protecting America & in his lack of tolerance of terrorism and various bad behaviors of countries - I think they are well aware of it. At the same time he is applying diplomacy wherever & whenever possible - and historically speaking - that's been the most effective way to make a change.

And i don't understand why so many people seem to expect IMMEDIATE change - President Obama was very honest that it will take time - these problems didn't happen overnight & neither will the solution. Personally, I try to let him do his job, use these opportunities to prove himself in the long & short term & then I try to stop whining about the albeit, hardships - that I'm ALSO dealing with - and focus on what I can do to help make positive changes. Honestly the bizarre array of attitudes toward Obama seems totally unique and baffling & childish. I think all people are way better than that. Excuse long rant (: )

I KNOW people are suspicious of Obama because of his ethnic background. It doesn't matter to a lot of people that he is trying to clean up the mess that the Bush administration left behind for HIM. I see some changes for the better already because of his decisions and I am certain things will continue to improve for this country. It is suspicion and fear that caused the problems in the first place when the first settlers were welcomed and then turned on the natives causing those difficulties that shaped and then ruined and then reshaped this country.

What the devil is wrong with peace? It sure costs a lot less lives and lot less money. Got an idea for some of you - change the tv channel from FoxNews and stop listening to your false god Rush!!! The guy has been in office for less than four months. So far he has been able to get our country off most every other country's sh*t list. A fact that you won't get from your usual news sources listed above, is that in itself will make us more safe. Other countries are more willing to watch out for us when we are not torturing their citizens. Sure those hero's Cheney, Rush, O'Reilly et al, like to talk trash, but they are COWARDS. I went when I was drafted, even though I was in college on a scholarship. They are nothing but whiny COWARDS. Your boy George even got out of the war by supposedly joining the Guard. Yeah, some Bush family friend said that he attended flight classes, but there were lots of others who never saw him - remember the records from the dentist's office?

As far as that birth certificate crap goes, the state of Hawaii says it is legitimate, so let it go. Just because another COWARD goes around saying that he wasn't born there does not make it so.

I voted for him because of change, and I'm white. But it had nothing to do with his color, it had everything to do with the lunatics in the White House at the time. Keep on dreaming about another GOP president, because it won't happen anytime soon. In fact, the GOP will likely lose 3 - 4 more Senate seats next year, maybe sooner if they don't lay off the female Senators from Maine.

I'm a Vietnam vet and a white Democrat, and proud of it. While I supported Hillary, I have been impressed with how Obama has handled a very, very , very difficult situation that was handed to him by George Bush.

I think it's good to try to make peace. When everyone's at war, and everyone has a finger on the big red button, no one's safe. Its time for humanity to realize we're all on this ball of dirt together. Yeah people are susipicious and prejudiced both because they haven't got past that primitive side of their thinkin. But if they ever wise up and realize the man is doin everything he can think of to try to help us. We are in the worse shape we have been in since the depression. And the govt is still corrupt. One man against a thousand obstacles ain't good odds to bet with, but I truly do hope he can turn this disaster around.

People are suspicious of Obama because he's full of crap: he said he was going to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and he's sending more troops in, he said he was getting rid of earmarks - he let that slide, he raised the defense budget and will retire with a deficit usually reserved for Republican presidents. Obama promised change and he's been talking out of his *** ever since.

I, personally, think he is getting a bit too friendly. Also, we can't just pull out of a war immediately and walk away... He knows what he is doing. We will be out of there soon, but you can't just drop everything and walk out.

Actually he not trying to make peace just trying to get everyone to like him, way different. Some countries do not have are best interest at heart and would like to have our heart on a platter. America reprensts hope to many people around the world and many goverments do not like this. It is difficult to control people who have hope.
I am just suspicious of him because he has no experiance at this and is making wide changes that can aversly effect our country for many years to come. I will give him a chance but hey what he has done so far is not looking good to me nor does it help me in anyway. I believe he will eventually make a huge blunder that will make him rethink some of these things and try and fix it, I only hope he can.

NO, I am not just suspicious, I KNOW that he is no good for America! Have you been watching the news and paying any attention to what he has done SO FAR?! Before he was he even elected, he did nothing but hide from the other candidates and avoid the issues! He has shown no BIRTHCERTIFICATE PROVING HIS CITIZENSHIP FROM BIRTH, and he focused his WHOLE campaign on the fact that he is not white. Can you say racist?! If you voted for him because he is black i.e., "CHANGE", then you are guilty of being racist. If you voted for him based on the issues that he never gave ANY strait answers for, then you are a moron and should not be allowed to vote! As far as making peace goes, he has only made America less safe and we have idiots like you to thank!

Well, if he is trying to make peace with everyone, you can see from some of the answers here that he clearly isn't succeeding! So sad...

Allofus... where have you been? We just said goodbye to a president that took decisions that affected and will affect our lives for years. You know his name and you probably voted for him. So look down your hands, chances are they have blood on it, look at your empty wallet .... what is the logic of your argument? We are responsible for the people we voted for. It's about time the party of taking responsibility start assuming some. You screw up this country, how do you feel about it?

Coolpeguin ... and how on hell do you know? What credibility you have? How well went the last guy you voted for? Chances are you are one of the 'morons' that bought the WMD lies and voted twice for that one. And by the level of stupidity and ignorance of your post you have already crossed the line between derangement and madness. It's not even funny to discuss with the mentally disabled like you. Go burn some crosses and torture some kittens while listening to uncle Hannity and Limbaugh spew, it will make you feel all better and cosy. Stock some garlic and holy water because he is really the Anti Christ, you KNOW he is.

I just know two groups that are suspicious of Obama -- the sore losers and the Taliban. They look very much alike these days ... they are working and wishing really hard for our ruin.
The Taliban had a great recruiting tool in Bush/Cheney and now they are being threatened by the idea that US can not be portrayed anymore like a bully and torturer of Muslins. They depend on the hate and rage of young people and the antipathy of foreigners against US and having an American president that is popular makes their cause weaker and recruiting harder.

The republicans are doing what always do best: terror and fear to control their voters. If you were a die hard conservative you would be afraid of the Obama bogeyman too by watching Glen Beck - The Doom Room - (bet coolpenguin is a loyal fan of this one and can't sleep at night). Let's face it; they do not fear anything but any slight success that may keep them away from power for a long time. They do not fear another attack, they wish for one. Traitors.
Meanwhile we have a hugely popular president and no intelligent and serious opposition -- what is really bad!!
When Ron Paul will become more influential? We need a serious and coherent opposition and I doubt he would let right wing nuts terrorize the country.

I agree with allofus. I'm suspicious of him because he hasn't done one thing that will actually benefit our country long-term. He and the current administration are pushing as hard as they can to get more government in every aspect of our lives, and that's so not for me.

As for me...Well I think that he is doing far too much...far to fast...He should look at repairing Our country first....

But then is he really trying to fix the world....I mean just today he has started to back track on Gitmo....and the trials...and even the interrogation investigation...

So now he is starting to act like a real politician....
