I was like that too. The luster of travel quickly wears off. I hate to be in a hotel now. Maybe try to learn about the city you are going to visit and decide on something you'd like to see or do in that city. Plan ahead and force yourself to do something fun or of interest.

It might be time to find a new job which doesn't require a lot of travel. A few years ago I traveled a lot in a 10 month period for both work and pleasure and yes it did get old.

The novelty has worn off I guess or you just don't want to go out anymore, maybe you have grown up more and like to relax on your own in the evening with a book or a movie or something..

I don't see this as a What should I do question because there is no issue in my eyes, there is no law that says you must go out, I rarely ever go out and not to pubs and clubs.. Those days are gone, I had my fun and I didn't even like it all that much, I prefer staying in doing things I am interested in now, I like ME time.. But I do like to eat out at least once a week.

Maybe you should find a balance.. Go out one night a week or something then you won't feel the way you do.

I know, I've been there! I changed careers and turned down a really good job the minute they said 70% travel.
