And further, at the end of the day, if you cannot use said words properly/right context etc and even understand their meaning yourself, then....certainly not.
An example a loooong time ago, maybe 20 yrs or so, a girlfriend of mine was speaking to another about not going over the boarder as much as border patrol was having a field day back then being check point Charlie...
she didn't want to have her car "imbounded".
I would never correct someone in front of others, so later i explained the proper word used was "impounded". She literally laughed and shrugged...."whatever, they know what i'm talking about.."
I said well, actually no, it's not "whatever", it's IMPOUNDED, and by not knowing the proper word to use, and assuming others will know what you mean, is not only embarrassing for you, but lazy. She didn't seem remotely fazed.
