And applied it. It worked so now I'm going to use lotion as the base. Does anyone see any side effects?

    I don't see any. Instead of lotion, if it's for the skin graph pain why not try using vaseline as a base. I see it working better than lotion.

    I have no Vaseline. I used triple biotic, it is staying on well. Looks weird but pain is gone.

    I don't think there would be, but if I were you, I'd call the local pharmacy and ask this question of the pharmacist, just to be safe.

    I called the pharmacy and ordered more of the ointment. I used to think the cost was high but not being in pain safely is priceless. The pharmacy could not tell me if the homemade ointment is safe so I'm waiting for a call from the dr. It will take a week for the ointment to come in.

    The main thing I'm wondering is if the aspirin would be too acidic and irritate the skin after a while.
