More importantly I would think is to ask how would it affect you and the child if it did have cerebral palsy?

Does that bother you? If so then why? Should that stop you? etc.

There's a possibility of a lot of birth defects. Do you know how many babies are born each year without an anus? How many babies have been born inside out?

Sorry, I just found out I'm pregnant and torturing myself with things like this. Realistically any pregnancy has risks.

It is not genetic. Probability is 2 per 1000 live births in the United States (2003 stats.) If you both have CP, can you take care of a baby? Run around the playground when s/he is a little older and such, things to think about. (Not trying to be rude, just realistic.)

If you have a genetic disease it's pretty selfish to have babies. My brothers ex-wife knew she was a carrier of Cystic fibrosis but had kids anyway (before she was with my bro) her youngest probably wont see adulthood as she suffers terribly from it.

Well if it's not genetic then it's a roll of the dice. Could end up retarded or autistic or conjoined twins ... or could be the next president or a great scientist that cures cancer ... ya just don't know!
