    www.worth1000.com photography and photoshop site. Has contests for beginners, advanced, and pro and FAQs with tips, you can probably find a lot of people there willing to give you advice and help.

    may i suggest you look at good photography first.i have an art background,and i think it is important to familiarize yourself with the great ones my list of thse are
    diane arbus
    william eggleston
    henri cartier breson'
    man ray
    alfred steiglitz
    ansel adams
    i will look for a good site or two ,i want to learn too,and i have a new camera that is too advaced for me.good luck ,and ignore rude people ok.
