You know you are not overweight... You are probably about 10 lbs underweight.

You are welcome! Don't get weird about your weight. Exercise and feed your body healthy foods. You are still growing. It is very important to eat right and get plenty of calcium, as at your age you are putting on bone mass and still growing in height.

I would slap you if you were in front of me right now. You could stand to gain some weight! Lets estimate that you will stop growing at about 5'7"....you should weigh between 120 and 145 if you have a small to medium frame and build...thats healthy....anything below is unhealthy. So thats what you should weigh by the time youre 16-18. Right now....at 12 and 5-5, 115-125 would be healthier. You are underweight.

the slap was a joke, but i wanted to make a point that it is sad to hear about young, teen and preteen girls worrying about their weight when they are really skinny.

even when they are not so skinny... It takes time for a body to develop to it final norm and knowing exactly what that is take time. Eating healthy and being active is all one should worry about really until such time.

The point is, you can't tell at that age. Wait until you're 19.

Weight has more to do with height than age, also muscle mass vs pure fat
