    Ah!!! Clever question!

If you are only talking of cooked chicken or the cooked eggs, I would suspect the eggs came first, because they take less time to cook.

If you are speaking of evolution, the EGG definitely came before the chicken!!! Why? Because birds evolved from dinosaurs (as they are sometimes called living dinosaurs). Dino's came from eggs, and the birds that evolved from them were also born from eggs, in intermediate steps between dinos and full-fledged birds.

So in summary to both ideas, the EGG came first.

Way before that, there was asexual reproduction. But that's so boring it was mostly left by the wayside. If you want to see something really cool, do a search for a video about "pen!s fencing."

If the restaurant is any good they should have come at the same time.

At any decent restaurant, the eggs and the chicken would come out at the same time. However at Village Inn, they would probably screw that up. So I guess the chicken came first, and the eggs were cold.

At the VI? Probably neither, some Italian, Portuguese, or Mexican chick probably took you home before the food came...

Hopefully Portuguese. They're harder to come by in these parts.
