I wonder how many other words I've been spelling wrong my whole life? You're all right and 'alot' doesn't exist

but 'spelt' does. There's thousands of links about 'alot' when I googled it so it must be a common error.

    To me noone is one word but the computer puts a red line under it so I have to put no one, as in nobody which is fine...

    Hey i'm from the south doesn't matter, i say use them . Alot is a word in my book, lol

    alot should exist.... (Damn it)
    the written word is just a representation of the spoken word.... and when we speak these words, don't we always run them together so they are in effect one word?
    Fact is it is one word that we speak.
    But antiquated convention dictates that in Victorian England perhaps.......................

    I say its a word.....
    you start the "alot" is a word group...im there.

    There(their,they're) are right(write) ways(weighs) to(too,two)spell a lot of words in(inn)the English language making it one(won) of the hardest to(too,two)learn.

    Its insane. I have a 6y/o daughter who I'm going to have to try and explain these things to. At least I've learnt this now before incorrectly correcting her :o)
