I'm not a practicing anything and have studied theology for many years. Two things: We die and there is no hell. God does not punish. When it's over - it's over. But the incorrigible monsters that have lived among us will not get the 'resurrection'. They stay dead. The good hearts among us, those that have passed and those on the earth will have a gift to reclaim living on earth.

We are asleep in death until - and if this is literal truth from the Bible, we will 'awaken' right back here on the Earth after Armageddon is over. Then we will have many lifetimes to prove our loyalty to God and remain alive forever.
I think the most reasonable and comforting answer was literal.

That said ---- I lost a loved one very tragically. Two days later someone from 3000 miles away called me with a dream they had over and over- to the point they wrote everything down. My loved one had come to her (??why her???) with information NOBODY BUT I KNEW. And the conversation ended with "He said he heard every word of the song you sang to him..." And it was such a random little verse and we were in ICU and he was on life support and totally brain dead... and she told me the exact song.
So, with that said, his wonderful spirit, the grief I was dealing with and the mystery of it all leaves me equally confused on many levels.

I'd like to think our soul leaves our bodies and then our new adventure begins. Depending on what kind of life you've lead, if your a good god loving person, I believe we will instantly know all the secrets of the Universe. I hope god lets me explore his beautiful Universe he created before I decend into heaven. He knows how interested in his creations I am, not just here on earth but the whole Universe. I want to see what god did and I hope he lets me. I think there are things out there(in the Universe) that god may have not wanted us to know about because our human minds could not handle the truth, and I want to know.

We certainly pass into spirit but our first stop will be to an intermediate place before moving on, to where, I do not know. Those who populate this intermediate stage are like threshold guardians and it appears that we may be part of some spiritual family whom I call my 'friends'.

Contrary to the cherished beliefs of many, there are no angels (or whatever) and religion has no place. The Garden Of Eden which we all seek is the here and now of this secular plane.

If there is such a concept as reincarnation then its purpose has to be our return, in another body, to this Garden Of Eden. I do however suspect that we may have the choice of returning. I hope this idea does not disappoint you. I have been a psychic since as far back as I can recall and my experiences lead me to believe this.

PS

'MGMVault', my late wife and also a daughter returned to me after their passings but what differentiates our experiences is that I am anti-religious and regard the bible as fiction. It may be, as you seem be a doubter, that only the non-believers are the chosen ones; just a thought based solely on experience.

Why do we have to go somewhere else, almost a selfish view on one self. If this is your life and you know it has and end I think wondering about where were going is the least of our problems.

Into the ground, your brain rots away as do all your other organs...you cease to exist. Don't believe me? Go dig up some dead people. ;)

Everyone passes to a spirit world, regardless of religion, then after the resurrection ans Christ returns, the earth will live in peace and love for 1000 years (a millenium) after which we stand before God and explain ourselves , yes we judge OURSELVES.

From there we go to the kingdom of like souls and live out eternity. God in his love and mercy will not have us living with those we'd be uncomfortable, so those who believe there is no God will reside together, even though they by then will know they were wrong.

There is an outer darkness where those unworthy of the sight of God will live out eternity. Not a firey hell, but a knowing, that they screwed up and were unrepentant on this earth.

Like the many universes that surround us...so are the many planes of existence we can go to and in fact experience simultaneously....

The plane of existence you will go to is the one on the level you have spiritually or subconsciously achieved...and it will happen automatically whether believed accepted or not... nothing to do with religion...as you think so shall you be...

I always liked the idea that you go to the dream-scape when you die. . .

I think that you go where you think you are going to go.

but then I wonder too - If I stopped wondering something would be wrong with me, I think

keep wondering :)

We will all go to a greater world, like the baby leaving the world of the mother's womb to the huge earth. However, our spiritual conditions will be diffrerent depending on our preparations here and now.
The baby's preparations are with the parents' responsiblity; our preparations are with our own responsible free will.

If baptized and you stayed faithfull to heaven. If your not forgiven of sin then there is only one more place you could go and that is called hell. I hope this helps answer you question.

We transform.
This world is mostly information and energy.
All our bodies.
Everything.
After we die, we return to another dimension.
