depending on frame...yes they should. I'm 4 11 and my target weight is 98lbs I'm average build and curently weigh 102-108...it's also healthy to weigh more as long as it's muscle weight or you are built with a larger frame.

this is hugely dependant on build. When people start getting cast from the same mold, this kind of exactness will be fine, until then, it varies.

The BMI is crap! Don't listen to it! You can be a very fat skinny person at 100lbs. Your body fat is what you should be looking at, not how much you weigh. Most athletic and muscular people, by the measurement of the BMI, would all be considered overweight! I'm 5'8 and 145lbs, which puts me in the average range for BMI of 22, and the least likely to develop health problems. But it doesn't take into account the fact that I only have 15% body fat and I'm toned to the nuts! BY the way, the medical and insurance industries have been using this "formula" for at least half a century now, and you'd think they could update it based on new information. Do you really think a guide that came out when doctors were still handing out cigarettes to patients is really someting that should still be followed?

100 lbs is considered to be in the "normal range" according to BMI calculation for someone who is 5 feet tall. 130 lbs would be considered "overweight" according to the calculation.

100 lbs is about right for a 5 foot tall person; I'm about 108 pounds, and 5' 3" (ish).

Putting a question mark at the end of a declarative statement doesn't make it a question.

The average weight for women who are 5' 0" is supposed to be 104-115lbs. Or so it says when you google it.
