Don't spend money you don't have and live within your means. Avoid Credit debt if at all possible! If you have access to public transportation, take it. If you can avoid high entertainment costs (i.e. movie theaters and going out for drinks) do it. Drink water at restaurants. Avoid Appetizers, and save food. Eat to live, don't live to eat. Cut down on expenses such as cable (especially if you work most of the time anyways. Most channels and shows can be found online now, and with a good hdmi cable/etc setup, you can view straight from your laptop to your tv), invest in a good solar charger for your phone. They're cheap, and work great if built correctly. and lastly, be as healthy as you can- excercise, eat right, rest- you'll avoid health costs. Recycle old yet nice, clothing at stores and online. you'll be surprised at how much money you can make even at $2 a pair of old jeans. Stop eating junk food, snacks, and smoking. Aka-- any micro costs that add up over time. You'll be amazed at how much you can save. If you can get help-- get it. This can include going to the health department for birth control and womens health.
Save every dime you can. Some day it might be worth something.
I highly suggest reading the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad. It changed my life and many others.
Don't buy something unless you really truly need it... invest in 401k......think twice about having children.... treat yourself with the small stuff..(dvd,s..hobbie things)....
