Resolved Question

I would like to know, Why does a man hold on to his ex, and will pass up a great girl?

I met this guy, we have great chemistry and attractions for each other. We can talk for hours on the phone & in person. I met him 4 wks after their breakup. But now he thinks he may want her back, since he ran into while I was in Vegas, he has been moody ever since, but now says I should move on. The end. P.S I should of said that the relationship ended in March, I met him on April 18th, he would call/text everyday, until late June. but bottom line he is still hung up on his ex GF. Thank you for all your great answers.

Ok, another man secret that will send me to Hell: Men can't get over the fish that got away...ever. Doesn't matter if the woman hurt him, doesn't matter if she hates him, and I'm sorry, but sometimes it doesn't matter how much he loves you. That lost woman is always that terrible failure that makes us think all the time about what we did wrong. What mistake did I make? How did I screw up? What should I have done? The only question we refuse to ask ourselves is ; Should I REALLY be trying this hard for this??

The greatest secret I shouldn't reveal is that we NEVER get over a lost love. We don't cry, we don't moan, we don't do anything at all that tells people we do that. But we ALWAYS think about that secret ghost that forever haunts us. The only hope we ever have is to meet someone who we're more afraid to lose, someone who will make a more painful ghost. Is that future ghost YOU? Do you have more than great chemistry and attractions ? Men are dense, darlin, and we spend far too much attention to the lost treasures instead the ones at our feet. If you love HIM, then tell him, don't assume he already knows (like I said, we're denise sometimes). If you actually come together then that ghost will just become a little whisper in the wind that all men have and ignore, instead of the one that stands between you now. If you don't want to do anything, then I'm afraid you will become the ghost instead.. Just the ghost...

Some times a guy leaves his wife for some reason, then once apart they find they miss that wife and want her back.
You say 4 wks , he is going through the stage of i want my wife and life back, And sadly you will be one to miss out if he go`s back.
But it pays to give him room and let him decide what he really wants and be prepared to loss him.

TRW...

Men routinely WILLINGLY give power to the first.. Second women in their life without really conscious of the fact...

In reality>>>>

It is going to look stupid here without discussion, but guys don't know it, but gravitate toward the "comfort" of mom which sometimes equates to the last "female" relationship>>>>

Yea...

You think we are messed up????

The best advice I can give is to cut your losses and walk away. If he is not over her then nothing will change. Even if you tried a relatinship with him, he would project his inner conflicts onto you somehow by abusing you with his mood swings and such. You deserve better! :)

Move on . While time does effect cures it passes much too quickly. For you to wait for him to heal the wounds to his ego, makes little sense and even worse the cure may never occur.
