It's an unsolvable question.

If the ball is 10 cents then the bat would be $1.10 for a total of $1.20

If the ball is 0 cents then the bat would be $1.00 for a total of $1.00

They both cost a dollar and ten cents right? If the bat costs a dollar, then the baseball must cost ten cents. What other answer is there?

Best Answer

The ball is five cents because if the ball is ten cent and the bat cost a dollar more the bat would be 1.10 making the total 1.20 .

Best Answer

Because the baseball bat must be one dollar more than the ball, in your case, that is incorrect. Your logic is invalid. I do believe i posted a short answer for this recently
