If a friend were buying a car, which car would you recommend based on your own ownership experience?

I've had very good luck with Nissan. I've had 2 pick-ups, as has my son. My wife and I have also owned 2 Altimas, an Xterra and a Versa. All of the ones I've owned in the past have given us service well into the 200,000 mile range with minimal headaches. I also owned a 78 Datsun 210 that ran well till I sold it at 12 years of age.

2004 Jaguar XJ8; not a moment trouble or recall since I bought her. That big cat purrs like a kitten, and is swift and smooth like a .... jaguar.
