If a gay/lesbian said to you, "You're hot" - leaving it at that - how would you react?

I'd be flattered! But if they then started hitting on me, it would get a little awkward.

Well i would reply by saying they where the most physically unattractive and revolting person and i don't want anything to do with them. I know how vain and hung up gays are about their looks. Would teach them a lesson to test the waters to find out if i was gay before making such statements.

well what got me was as the story unfolded... it was at a gay bar that a lesbian friend insisted I go to.. so I dance with this lesbian I dont know... who was getting into me but then she said she was getting me for her brother who was gay but she wanted to have me instead of me... I was shocked.. I mean I didnt know what to say.. I just wanted to run ... I'm a guy... I am never suppose to feel that way... it was like some kind of brain freeze. So got my friend to leave with me.. we were both trashed she laughed about it and said dont worry I will protect you and then started hitting on me.. I am still so confused about it and that was like 20 years ago.Like (1)

check their head for possible fever.
ask them if they were hallucinating.
and then likely proceed with an interesting conversation that didn't start with 'I like your shoes'.Like (1)
