If a girl hits a guy is okay if he hits her back?

They both were wrong, but i do think it would have been perfectly ok for him to have paddled her behind till it was black & blue. She never should have hit him to begin with. And above all else, i wasnt there to know what their reasons were for acting this way.

He took it way to far. Choking is just wrong on so many levels.

But she shouldn't have hit him.

No--if he feels endangered he should just leave. There's never any excuse to hit a woman.

I think it's wrong whichever way u look at it but I believe if a woman can give it she can take it. I was battered by a partner before I met my husband he only stoped because I pinned him by the neck and gripped as tight as i could

a girl can never compete with a guy physically. A girl should never put hands on a guy, but a guy really shouldn't put hands on a girl, the damage is drastic.

No a guy should never beat a girl or fight with her unless she is a FBB..lol... At the same time guys cant take all the beatings from girls and remain calm without any retaliation...So girls have to behave !

You seriously need to ask this question? A man who does this is not a real man. He's a sissy-girlie-man who uses his physical strength to try to prove something. It only results in proving how weak he is. He has no character, pride, or common sense. He does have serious problems. No punch of hers justifies his physical retaliation. Knowing she's not as physically strong as he is, made him feel powerful; but it's a false power that can be a great danger to her in the future, no matter how many false promises he makes. If this woman is anywhere near smart, she will dislodge him from her life and not look back.

Neither person should disrespect the other in that way . Saying that a man is much stronger than a woman and needs to be doubly careful . (is doubly even a word I am so tired)

The reaction was excessive, to say the least. If a girl hit me in the arm, I wouldn't hit back at all. The only time I would hit a girl is if I felt it was the only way to defend myself. That said, unless the girl was a beefcake or something, I would imagine she could be restrained in some way rather than actually hitting her.

Actually, now that I think about it... a few weeks ago a girl punched me in the arm for no reason and it knocked the cigarette out of my mouth. As a result I did in fact wrap my hands around her neck, but it was only playing around. No way in hell I could actually bring myself to hurt her. Odd coincidence though...

If somebody hits you, you have every right to hit them back, be they man or woman.
