If a guy calls to organise a date, is it bad if I ask if we can do it another night?

I went on a first date with a guy last week and since then, we've made tentative plans to catch up this weekend. I suggested we go see a play on Friday night (it's last day is on Saturday), and he said he'd call me tonight to arrange details.

The thing is ... I am sooo tired and know I will not be at my best tomorrow (Friday) night. Is it 'bad form' if I ask to do it on Saturday night instead??

The best for a relationship is to be honest. Explain the situation and he should understand. If he does not, he is not worth having as a partner.
