Resolved Question

If a man is expressive about their emotions, does that make him a brave man or weak man?

Or vise versa?
As I get older, I found that I appreciate men who can express how they feel and etc. since both sexes are alway wondering what each other is thinking and what went wrong and etc.
From my experience, I found that men who can not express their feelings or emotions are weak. They're afraid that he might be judged or seem valnerable. He usually avoid confrontations and can't stand up for himself. Would like to have other people's point of view on this.

It's makes him human. Human's have emotion and to express it, is what humans DO.

*sighs* Why am I even in this community?

Neither. It's just a personality trait.

It's fine to express your emotions though, as long as you don't let them dictate your actions.

One without emotions is empty. One with too much emotion is burdened. One with emotional balance is wise and poised in all he does.

As you have discovered yourself - a man who allows himself to accept, feel, confront and deal with his emotions is easier and nicer to be around/with. He is easier to communicate to, easier to understand - and it's easier for him to understand you.

It should be normal, but many societies enforce the belief that men showing or expressing emotions equals weakness. So for a man to show or express emotions in these societies, is brave. There is nothing brave about emotionally stunting yourself, emotional avoidance or emotional absence.

Find men dont talk as much as my women friends-who will tell me "every" little emotion they are feeling. I think men express emotions through their actions ie, if he loves you he will treat you well, call/text a lot and try to understand you.I think a man who is really expressive is probably unique haha-not brave or weak.

It makes him a human being that doesn't buy into society's bull$hit standards of masculinity.

Both! aren't we allowed to be weak sometimes, and what does it all mean?
I've met people very keen on talking about their emotions, the only snag was they didn't give a damn about others'!

i have been with my husband for 13 yrs now and i think it is just wonderful when he shows his emotions.. i feel bad at the same time but i am happy that he loves me enough to show how he really feels.and he knows no matter what happened in his life i would always be there to pick him up.. we are in marriage counseling now and he is showing things i didn't think he could.. he was the one that said we need to communicate that is the downfall to our marriage and he is the one that made the 2nd appointment.. so i have the utt most respect for that..
we still have our problems but he is there with me to figure them out and that is something he was against for the longest time.. i think that would make him very BRAVE

I have chosen to express myself more and more over the last couple of months.

I have found that I rather like doing so. Though, people call me "*****" for my efforts.

I disagree with such a contention and will continue to express how I feel inside.

It isn't being weak until you let the emotions spill into confidence and outward attitude. Allow yourself to share and be expressive while also remaining strong and confident in yourself always no matter what....
