Thirty years ago I have lost everything except God, and I realized that it was the greatest blessing from Him.
I have learned the lesson about detachment from the world, but I dared not practice it until when He did it for me.

That wouldn't be much of a loss. I don't have an abundance of money.

Fine by me. I would just work and get more. It might be kind of fun. As long as I can still work I'll be ok.

I lost all my money, and my car. I still had my clothes and my butt, therefore no- I did not lose my self-esteem. I was able to say "HEY! I'm broke and have no car! But Damn I still look good!"

Been there, done that, did not receive a T shirt.
It helped me realize what was important in life - and most material possessions are not as important as most think. You need the basics - food, shelter, clothing, a bed, and sanitary items. Everything else is gravy.

I'd go looking for Bernie Madeoff!

No seriously what could I do? I couldn't give up, the money is still out there waiting to be made. I'd just have to come up with a game plan to make things better. I'd have to become more creative, aggressive and daring. So I guess I'd devise a way to take that half a percentage that banks and large corporations are always misplacing or "writting off".
