If all war is a necessary evil can you fight one without being evil?

War is hell. There is a duality in mankind, wherein we are capable of evil and good at nearly the same time. I'm sure you've seen the pictures of the soldier carrying the baby to safety. We destroy a village and line the occupants up for medical care and food. We are not evil, we are citizens of a planet that contains both good and evil. war is sometimes the lesser of two evils, sadly required to protect our nation and to liberate oppressed peoples around the world. Although I find it suspicious that we only promote democracy in countries rich in natural resources. We all but ignored Darfur. In the face of history, war seems to be one side of the coin of life. Ohmmmm.

They're not.

All war is not a necessary evil.
A war of aggression is a crime,for example.
A defensive war is not - you have no choice.
There are criteria to be met for other "just" wars.
Whether you can fight one and adhere to internationally agreed laws of armed conflict 100% is another matter.
The best we can hope for is that violations are scrupulously investigated and those committing the most serious offences are brought to account - whatever their nationality.

War is definitely evil, childish and ignorant.
The mature humanity realize that peace is the highest good for mankind, that is why they establish the UN to maintain peace.
Now, we have lots of means to get into negotiations, to seek out more understandings and better ways to solve all problems, conflicts, and wrongdoings of various immature groups.
