People will blame the President if they get a boil or stub their toe. Gas going up is a worldwide problem, not just a problem for the United States.

Common, you really think the main stream media is going to say anything against obama because he has allowed the gas prices to increase since he took office? He has even said he wants the prices to go up so that it will have people depend more on the so-called "green energy" and then he can give our money away to failed/failing company's.<br />
There hasn't been one word about obama and the high prices since they started going up. Not like when Bush was in office and everybody screamed bloody murder and called for an investigation. The media will find some way to not blame obama as they work for him anyway

If you have ANY money to spare... Buy Gasoline NOW... When the $4!+ hits the fan in the Middle East that stuff is going to be worth a mint... Also... going into the fall / and November Election, those who have the power to determine what gasoline will cost will raise the price to increase dissatisfaction in people who don't understand why gas cost what it does, in order to get those people to vote out the incumbent.

I think people will moan and wait for it to reach $6.

Bush did not have power over gas prices because he was president, his family is deeply entrenched in the oil business completely separate from his time in office. The president, as an office, as very little control over such things except indirectly. The economy is improving however, despite republican opposition. The economy has improved over the last 23 months in a row and he just finally passed the extension on the payroll tax cut, again....despite republican opposition.
