in my opinion, the only thing that the word " adult" means is someone who does their taxes, people are people, not ages, a true adult, to me, is someone who knows that the word adult just means you do your taxes, sometimes, and try not to break the law because they can send you to jail ...and nothing else, if people were jerks as kids, why wouldn't they be like that as adults, unless something happened that changed them, they are still essentially themselves just with more responsibilities, the older people get, the more society likes to box them in, or so it seems, and tell them to act in certain ways, but they still should treat others how they would like to be treated, thats just how people interact, not everyone can be peachy and nice on a bad day, but still it does suck when they take it out on you, and they shouldn't, but that's something anyone at any age should try not to do, or at least try to. life is complicated at any age. still, sorry if someone was mean to you. :)

I'm afraid that age doesn't guarantee maturity. And some people are mature in some ways, but not in others.
Then of course, there's the fact that some children are much more "adult" and responsible in their actions and understanding than some adults.
Too bad there are no guarantees in that department! It's one of the many ironies of mankind.Like (1)
