No woman is an island.
Were the roles reversed, it's possible "help" would have been excluded from the text.
No, the poetry of Genesis is rather interesting. I once heard a Rabbi say that the fall wasn't a fall, per se. It was the gaining of knowledge. It's like the story of Prometheus or Alberich. It could have represented that she took the first steps in giving us humanity, or more emphatically, that distinction from the animals. It's when we developed that higher order of thought, or when we realized that one day we will die.
The fall was something attributed to the poetry later on in the interpretation or the foundation of doctrine. Nevertheless, it's nice to have discussion about these things.
If a man asked this the other way around he's be absolutely slaughtered
Who else would have cleaned out the mousetraps?
Tongue in trap, of course ... my mom killed a rattlesnake with a shovel when I was young, but was happy to let Dad handle the rocks we used to build a wall around the place. Of course, Dad "allowed" me to help, never asked my sisters.
I do that. With rubber gloves, eye goggles and kitchen tongs! And lots of ewwwws!
eve was created first really - we're all female initially in the womb - and before the explosive discovery of sex by life in the Cambrian period there was no gender at all - men are kind of experiment by nature, females are closer the way animals were in the pre-Cambrian period
well, it's not gospel, or probably even scientific orthodoxy, but it's seems pretty obviously true to me, all the different evidence looked at together - you can confirm the evolutionary history fairly easily, as well as the foetal biology, but i don't think i've read that last idea anywhere, i think that's my own induction
Yup, she still needed someone to carp at and nag.
I guess both were made together and god told them not to have sex coz he knew the planet wud become like what it seems today lol
If Eve was created first, she'd still be bitching at God about making Adam perfect.
pffft... unless there was a banana tree in the garden instead of an apple tree
...else, who would take out the garbage?
