Right, you don't normally see a gasket, especially if you are not familiar with cars. Are any lights on ,on the dash, like, oil pressure low or a red engine light? Does the car have a lot oil in it? Checked it recently? Any smoke coming out the back?
Well, simple things first. Check all your fluids and make sure everything is full.Oil, Brake fluid, Coolant, Power steering fluid and Transmission fluid. You check coolant only when your car is cool, it can spray on you and burn you. Check transmission fluid when the car is running or warm the others you can check any time. The most important is the oil if oil is leaking out it can mean many things. If yor check engine light is on it may mean you don't have enough oil to run your engine. Do not drive a car with the check engine light on It means the engine is being burnt up. Burnt engine means new engine means$$$$$$$$ Sometimes warning lights get stuck on and nothing is wrong but don't chance it. Go to an oil change place and get your oil changed Don't pay more than $20.00.Those guys know a lot about cars and will talk for free especially if you are a cute female!lol!
a gasket is only a seal to hold in fluid or keep air out if there is a bad noise it is something more
