I don't know, what do the voices tell you about this?

No, but if for some reason, you feel insane, that could mean you need some professional help.

If you were actually insane, you wouldn't be sane enough to be asking this question.

Nowadays, it's popular to say that you're crazy. I think most people will tell you that they're crazier than the average if you ask them. People just have a different mindset now. People think that mild insanity/craziness implies some subtle genius and / or individuality.

So yes, I think it's very normal. Then again, it really depends what you really mean by insane. If you mean it in a sort of cheeky way, "not like anyone else", that sounds normal to me. Ironically. But if you feel that there's something you can't handle, I would see a therapist to get his/her professional evaluation.

I suppose we are all "insane". We each have our weird little quirks that makes us just a little different than the norm (whoever they may be).

We all have our ridiculous fear, our hidden fetishes, anyone who says anything different is probably just afraid to admit to it.. The way I see it, insane people create beautiful art, write the best books, and have the best conversations...

So embrace your inner-weirdo.. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would rather just call it "personality" instead..

If you're thinking about it, maybe you are insane, or not. If you're having troubles, talk to someone.

I do not think questioning your sanity is a definitive way of determining if you are insane...or not. I believe that might strongly rest on Why you are questioning your sanity.

depends how you define insane. If you're talking about psychosis, then probably not, because you would be insane in the sort of 'gnomes are stealing my soul, i swear i saw one do it' way...... insane in the desperately sad, or self destructive, or just not thinking like you feel you should you can notice in yourself....

Good question! What I've typically heard is if you've got the presence of mind to question your own sanity, then chances are you're sane. BUT...maybe a little crazy? I know I am! *lol*

The paradox reached in trying to determine one's own sanity is the question of whether an insane person would be capable of recognizing their insanity much like a heavily autistic child who is not capable of recognizing that they are different.
I would say the fact that you wonder if you are insane (based on what I've seen of your posts here) is more likely indicitave of a desire to find something new or interesting about yourself or your life. Find some recreation and this should all go away if I'm correct.
(This post is written with all due respect to the asker and with the acknowledgement that I tend to be an airhead, so I would not call this a proper diagnosis. If in fact you do feel you need medical help, seek a REAL doctor : P )

No it means that you're insane, just not stupid. You can see that you act and think differently form others, but that a good thing. If more people were insane like you and I than the world would be a better place.

You are most definitely not insane. I have had this thought and had many therapists/psychiatrists for depression. They always say that if you have the ability to conceptualise a thought like this and be able to distinguish between what feels normal and not normal, you will not be insane, because insane people generally DO not have ANY idea that they are insane, and are usually in high security psychiatric wards. That is why they are called 'insane'.

All I can do is tell you my story. I always felt crazy/ insane. People would tell me that I was crazy. Then when I was forty years old I found out the truth. Space aliens have invaded the earth and implanted chips in almost everyone. Apparently you and I are among the ones they missed. Anyway, those with chips go to work, come home, act really cool - just like in the movie Stepford Wives. The aliens continue to look for us so they can put those chips in us. They also bring along those damned rectal probes. (They hurt) I have a lock on the inside of my closet (that's where I sleeP) I lock the closet door and get as comfortable as I can in there. This way they can't secretly implant a chip inmy head. So you see, the rest of the world has a problem. You and I and some few others are the ones who really don't have a problem. Hope this helps.

Yes. To the insane their twisted view of the world is the one true reality.

define insane...maybe people are just lying to you. maybe you need to clean up your diet (caffeine, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs). maybe you have a very different perspective on the world. maybe you hear a different drummer...step to the music that you hear & stop worrying that you are different...look for the similarities
