If I had no religion, I could even kill my self. What stops a person without a religion from killing others?

Thanks to remind me that God gave people as soon as they born morals and values.

is it natural primitiveness given by God.

Prophet mohammad said (translated): every person is born with primitiveness, his/her parents makes him Jews, christian, or obay fire,

He did not mintion Islam because it is said that it does not change any of the natural morals.

before that I was afraid from people from other religions, not christians, as I heard that some of them eat even humans but I dont know what is that religion or is it no moral nor values. How can I defrentiate?

What makes you think that your morals and values, regardless wether you have religion or not, are right or wrong. if you had the abitite to eat dogs for example, will you eat them.
For example it is prohibted in islam to drink alcohol, but many moslims does. so I think that this muslim has low islamic values. because he does not obay islam.

the same way for people who Starts wars.

for example if a moslim woman was showing her legs to strangers, she will be cosidred to muslims have no moral low nor values but it is normal to ware mini skirts for non muslim women and dance in the bar, she will be appreciated by people who have no islamic values.(different human values)

What make people stop killing, drinking alcohol, rap, drugs, and all the bad things in world.

I think that a person who thinks it is his personal freedom to get drunk has low morals. many people who kills kill while they are drunk.

What makes you think that your morals are right. and makes me think that some of your own morals needs to be changed for a better.

pukirahe	Posted Nov 4th, 2009 at 2:10PM Religion has no boundary. It is a living school and organic institution. It is not exactly like a university. When a person enter a university, s/he can be considered as more knowledgeable than other people in some branches of learning. While a person who enters a religious community may become better or worse in conducting a human life. I mean that the method , the aim, the evaluation...in a university is more concrete than those of religion. After leaving the university, you may serve the society as a graduate. While, you never graduate in religion, and you will serve only as a learner on gradual practice. In my case, after learning and practicing religion for fifty years, I cannot claim that I am better than any other people on any fields. I am only more and more confirmed that I am only an ignorant servant of the human race, and my soul will be evaluated by God Himself. Rated: +5Vote for this!

This is horribly inaccuate. Religion is not a good indicator of social conscious. Face it, lots of people with religion (aka GWBush, Bin Laden, etc.) kill IN THE NAME of their religion!! Sometimes it is just the ticket - the moral authority - they need. After all, if God (a god who only speaks to you through a religious dogma) tells you its right and just to kill, who can argue with that? How many wars have been fought in the name of religion??? So, you see, only a person who has the capacity to reason freely outside the conscripts of religion would do so without fear of reprisal... So if there is a God, that- ie. the freedom to reason, respect for life of any form, respect for non-life, and a deep knowledge that we humans know so very little - is likely his/her/its true nature... not religion. imrahil	Posted Jul 1st, 2009 at 1:58AM You seem to think the only moral guide for a person is religion, and you also seem to believe that all religions (or at least the ones you approve of) forbid killing. Like many have said before, this is not true. Some people have moral values that don't come from religon and in fact some religions "allow" people to kill in their name. There is philosophy, and there's the law. Can't believe no one's mentioned it yet. Those define human behaviour and how it should be, if we're to live in society. Not just that, they actually have real reasons why you should or shouldn't kill people or do other things which may be morally questionable. Religions tell you to obbey or else God will be mad at you or something along those lines. I won't say it's bad, but you should know why you do or don't do things, and to me an afterlife in hell isn't nearly scary enough. Then there's also the debate about whether or not it may be good to kill some people sometimes. But I won't star that debate here. Rated: +3Vote for this!

What does a lack of religion have to do with killing people? In fact, there are tons of religious people who have committed murder, not even counting entire WARS devoted to fighting in the name of their religion and higher power. All people do these things in all times and all cultures and all religions. Christians slaughterd the people of the Americas in the name of thier "God of Love". Moslems slaughtered the people of North Africa, Spain, Turkey, the Middle East, and most of India in the name of their Allah and his "truth". Jews exterminated the native farming peoples of Canaan at the behest of Yahweh. The blood has never ceased to flow in any time or place because of any faith regardless of the phony words they spout. Religions are part of the power structure of a culture and, as such, they exist to further that culture's dominance and extermination of its neighbors. There is no religion that can point to its history and claim none of its adherents did any of these things. So, "primitive" you want to learn about "primitive"? shf84	Posted Jun 30th, 2009 at 1:18AM That’s easy I have no religion at all I don’t kill others because of my moral beliefs about fairness. I get my morals from philosophy and common sense. candy100	Posted Jun 30th, 2009 at 10:38AM I don't have a religion but I would never dream of killing anyone! I have a natural love and compassion for my fellow human beings. I think there's probably some innate instinct there too for survival of the human race. I have a very solid value system that doesn't require religion. I have a heart and I have integrity. Actually, millions have died in the name of 'God'! Is that religion doing any good?? If you would kill yourself without a religion then I would guess that you don't trust yourself and have become very dependent on your religion which religions like to make their members become.
