just because science proves belief wrong doesn't mean belief will change to suit science. that's why it's called "belief" and not something like "science" or "proof" or "logic". just look at catholocism.

Buddhism is not a belief. It is "being" awake. No science?

Why don't you contact the Dalai Lama then and tell him all about it? I'm not proffering his statement as a tenet of Buddhism. It's just an EP question quoting someone else.

You most certainly are putting the Dalia Lama as the "soul" arbiter of Buddhism. The process of awakening can not be ruled on by a scientist. Nor the Dalia Lama. The truth is it can not even be verbalized. It's a finger, pointing at the moon.

Just don't see that happening - Buddhism is too subtle for proof or disproof.

You live it or you don't.

Good grief - that is a direct quote from the Dalai Lama. I post it in here so now you use his quote as the basis for I don't understand Buddhism???? Wow!!

You don't go to a museum and tell them to change their ticket price and exhibit right? same thing for Buddhism, it ain't gonna change. It could change drastically, this may be the last Dalai Lama, but maybe not.
