Resolved Question

This person I know has basically stopped our friendship rather than talk about something he said he couldn't talk about it but now its been months and we are no longer close . So I've essentially lost a friend the distance between us has caused distance socially between our other friends who don't know why we are no longer close. I think the secret is about him not me perhaps it will be painful for me to hear but I seriously would rather know than not and I'm an easygoing person and can not worry usually but whatever it was it has impacted my life negatively so I very much would like to contact him and ask him why? we live far apart so will have to speak on phone does anyone have advice on how to keep him on the phone and get him to tell me whatever it is? I'm not a curious cat sort of person but the fact is our friends wonder why we are no longer close and so do I. it seems to be this secret I know our friendship might not be repaired but I think I deserve the truth whatever it is.

If he lives far away from you and you want him to have the conversation with you -- make the effort to go to him in person. He can't really turn away a "friend" when you've went to the trouble of driving down to see him (and it will be a compliment to him that you went out of your way to talk to him -- it will show him that you think so highly of your friendship with him).

It is A LOT easier to get a person to talk when you are face-to-face and when they see your general concern in your eyes and hear it in your voice. Telling lies over the phone and hanging up is way too easy but Avoiding a person standing right in front of you is much harder -- so if you want your answers, go in person to find them.
