Sometimes no, since most of the time the professional liars that the DA's use are known as "police officers".

When they actually use normal people, however, the DA usually plays it safe, does alot of background checking and sometimes even cross-examines their own witness before bringing them to court. So technically of course the answer is yes, but the question you are really asking is "how", not "if".

It is not likely that they would have someone intentionally lie, because if proven the case could be tossed out and the DA could face charges. The perjury is committed by the person making the statement. The obstruction of justice charges will be filed against the DA. However, I also agree that if it is a cop, then there could be some problems with proving it. Rated: +1Vote for this!
