If there is an emergency, how do you contact someone at boot camp?

there is an emergency red cross link on the great lakes website but when you click on it, you don't get anywhere. am i missing something or is the website really out smarting me? Or is there another way rather then through the mail?

Any American Red Cross office can send a free message for you, you don't have to use the Great Lakes website.

Call 1 (877) 272-7337, 24 hours ... you will need his unit name, service ID.

Works better than the base CO, and so forth ... Chaplain's office is also a good idea, they can get you to other support resources in your area to deal with the emergency.

Contact you closest Navy Recruiter, OR The USO
Barring that look up the base , then the Base Chaplin.
Actually the last is probobly the best.

Call the drill sergeant and explain that the private in question needs to take a "time out". He will understand.

I'm kidding of course. There has already been several excellent recommendations.

red cross i think... thats how i have to contact my hubs if he is on the ship i would think that boot camp would be the same

Yes Red Cross is the fastest and least amount of red tape but it does have to be an emergency or death notification.
