nope i don't think it would matter very much.
I think it depends (like was said above) on the occasion, and dressing too fancie compaired to whats exceptable could be considered being a stuckup snob.
I think the casual girl-next-door look is attractive,sweats or jeans are cool.
If it would be so obvious then am in the room along.......
If by nicely you mean a suit or dress clothes, then NO. Turns me away, in fact.

if i knew the person well it may not matter. if im meeting a lady for the first time and shes all run down and not well dressed and were meeting at a less than casual place in my eyes that just shows pure laziness
Like a baited hook, I would be much more attracted to them.
